Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park Via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

Start your journey as early as 7:00am when the guide picks you from your hotel and you embark on a journey to Murchison Falls National Park via the sanctuary. The drive stops briefly at Luwero for shopping and stretching before proceeding to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for the ultimate Rhino experience, enjoy delicious lunch at court view hotel in Masindi town. After lunch continue to Murchison Falls National Park.
Arrive at the top of the falls and marvel at the breathtaking view of the Nile, capture photos and enjoy the refreshing breeze. Afterwards, cross the Nile to reach your lodge for check in, relaxation and dinner.

Day 2: Enjoy an early morning breakfast at 6am and embark on an exciting game drive

Drive through the savannah and along lake Alberts delta as the sun rises, spot wildlife like lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes and buffalos. Also look out for unique birds such as shoebill stork and grey-crowned cranes.
Enjoy delicious lunch as you prepare for an exciting serene Nile River cruise. Observe crocodiles basking on the river banks playful hippos, and herds of elephants cooling off. Spot colorful birds, including the African fish eagle and the goliath heron. After the boat trip, head back to the lodge, freshen up and have dinner.

Day 3: Breakfast and transfer to Kibale National Park and Community Walk

After breakfast in the morning at around 8: 00 am you will embark on a journey to Kibale national park. The drive takes 6-7 hours via Kagadi and Kigumba and offers scenic views of the landscape, including traditional home steads, local people, the Rwenzori Mountains, crater lakes and tea plantations and we shall have a lunch stopover on enroute to the park. After your lunch, you will then proceed to Kibale National Park, check into the hotel, refresh and prepare for a community walk in one of the communities adjacent to the park where you will get a chance to see how life unfolds in a typical Ugandan village, mix and mingle with the locals as you discover their rich cultural heritage.

Day 4: Chimpanzee Trekking

Start your day with breakfast before heading to the UWA headquarters. Here, you will receive a briefing on the chimpanzee tracking rules and regulations. Afterward, embark on your chimpanzee tracking adventure in the forest which is one of the main highlights and will last 3-4 hours with the guidance of a knowledgeable ranger. You may also spot other monkeys, such as L’Hoest’s Monkey. Learn about the behaviors and lifestyle of these incredible creatures in their natural habitat. After tracking, return to your accommodation for lunch and some relaxation.

Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, in the morning, you will be driven to Queen Elizabeth National Park which is an approximately 5 hours’ drive. This drive will provide you with the stunning views of Uganda’s countryside. Upon arrival at Queen Elizabeth national park, you will be checked in your accommodation and have lunch. After lunch, you will have time to rest and relax.

Day 6: Game drive and boat cruise on Kazinga Channel

After breakfast, you will set out on a morning game drive in the national park, accompanied by a professional guide, which will last for 3 hours. The drive will provide you with an opportunity to watch a variety of wildlife, including elephants, lions, buffaloes, and so many others. After the game drive you will have lunch and later set off for an evening boat cruise on Kazinga channel. The 2-hour boat tour will take you through the watery home of hundreds of hippos and other wildlife such as elephants, buffaloes, and water birds. After the boat cruise, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

You will then wake up in the morning for breakfast and afterwards will be driven to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park, which takes about 3-4 hours’ drive through the Ishasha sector famous for the tree- climbing lions. At the arrival you will check into your accommodation and have lunch.

Day 8: Gorilla Trekking and community walk

On this day, you will embark on a gorilla trekking experience, which is a unique and unforgettable adventure. You will be guided by the park rangers who will lead you through the thick forest in search of a family of a gorilla. The trek can last anywhere from a few hours to a whole day, but the experience of coming face -to – face with these magnificent primates is worth it. After you will then return to the accommodation, refresh and then have lunch as you prepare for a community walk in one of the communities adjacent to the park where you will get a chance to see how life unfolds in the Batwa community which is an indigenous pygmy community, mix and mingle with the locals as you discover their rich cultural heritage and later return to your accommodation and relax.

Day 9: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

After early morning breakfast, you will then drive to Kabale city and check into the hotel, have lunch and then relax. Kabale is taken to be a gateway to Bwindi Impenetrable National Parks. Kabale district, often called the Switzerland of Africa, is a scenic highland district in southwestern region, within the Kigezi sub region.

Day 10: Relaxation at Lake Bunyonyi and Nature Walk

You will enjoy a free day along the lake with some activity options like swimming, canoeing, visiting the Islands. The other optional activity can be hiking the Bushara trail along the lake shores. Go back to the lodge and relax and in the afternoon, have a canoe ride to the small resident and the exotic bird species that sing. You can also mix with the locals or relax with the orphan performers.

Day 11: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

After breakfast, you will embark on a journey to Lake Mburo National Park which take about 2-3 hours’ drive via Mbarara. The park is a Mosaic of acacia savanna, woodlands, freshwater lakes, papyrus swamps, rocky ridges, and forested gorges. Upon your arrival you will check into your accommodation and freshen up of which you will later have lunch then relax.

Day 12: Game drive and Nature walk

A game drive at Lake Mburo National Park offers a unique safari experience, allowing you to observe a variety of habitats, including savanna, woodlands, wetlands and wildlife including Zebras, Impalas, buffaloes, and various antelope species. After the game drive, you will head back to your accommodation, relax and have lunch.

Day 13: Transfer back to Entebbe

After early morning breakfast, you will then embark on a journey to Entebbe. Along the way you will visit the equator monument for photo moments and hand made crafts shopping. And the you will proceed to your hotel in Entebbe and that marks the end of your safari.
