Detailed Itinerary
Day 01 : Nairobi to Amboseli National Park
In the morning, your guide will pick you up from your hotel or the airport in Nairobi. You will then drive to Amboseli National Park, a journey of less than five hours. Along the way, enjoy the scenic drive and anticipate the wonders ahead. Upon arrival, you will marvel at the stunning scenery, with Mount Kilimanjaro dominating the open plains.
Amboseli is famed for large herds of elephants seen up close. Explore the park’s five habitats, including the dried-up Lake Amboseli bed, wetlands with sulfur springs, savannah, and woodlands. After lunch and check-in at Ol Tukai Lodge, you will rest briefly before an afternoon game drive. The day ends with dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 02 : Amboseli National Park to Lake Nakuru National Park
After an early breakfast, you will check out and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. En route, stop at Lake Naivasha for a delightful lunch. Upon arrival at Lake Nakuru, you will embark on an afternoon game drive. Lake Nakuru National Park boasts rich wildlife and breathtaking landscapes.
You may spot black and white rhinos, lions, leopards, and hippos among the euphorbia forests and savannah grasslands. Additionally, keep an eye out for the rare Rothschild’s giraffe. In the evening, check in at Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 03 : Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara National Reserve
Start your day with an early breakfast before leaving for Masai Mara National Reserve, a five-hour drive. Arrive in time for lunch at Entim Mara Camp, a highly-rated boutique accommodation. After check-in, enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Masai Mara.
The reserve is renowned for its breathtaking landscapes, diverse wildlife, and the famous wildebeest migration, which occurs from July to October. As the day concludes, return to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay, experiencing an African sunset.
Day 04 : Full Day in Masai Mara
After an early breakfast, spend a full day exploring the Masai Mara. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the wild, surrounded by the teeming wildlife. During the migration season, you will see thousands of wildebeest, zebras, impalas, and more.
Keep your camera ready for lions, leopards, cheetahs, and hyenas. If lucky, you might spot black rhinos from a distance. The Mara River is home to hippos and Nile crocodiles. Return to Entim Mara Camp for dinner and your overnight stay.
Day 05 : Masai Mara to Nairobi
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the camp before checking out. Your driver-guide will then take you back to Nairobi. Arrive in time for lunch and, after the meal, head to the airport for your flight home or get dropped off at your Nairobi hotel, concluding your incredible safari adventure.
